Some small changes that help simplify and clarify the ruleset.

Clarification for all parts of a weapon needing satisfy the 2 inch rule

Existing rule regarding the 2 inch diameter templating:

4.5.2. Weapon pommels and other protrusions, such as the ends of crossguards, may not readily pass more than one-half (½) inch (1.3 cm) through a two (2) inch (5.08 cm) diameter hole.

Proposed change:

4.5.2. Weapon tips, pommels and other protrusions, such as the ends of crossguards, may not readily pass more than one-half (½) inch (1.3 cm) through a two (2) inch (5.08 cm) diameter hole. 4.5.2.1 Satisfying this may be accomplished by making the corner/tip 2½ inch (6.35cm) round.

Allow additional padding within a handle

Existing rule regarding handles:

4.2.5. Handles must be contiguous. It is not allowable to have a handle, courtesy padding, and then an additional unpadded handle closer to the striking surface(s).

Proposed change:

4.2.5. Incidental padding must be contiguous. Courtesy padding may interrupt a handle, but does not count towards the total padding amount.

Remove confusing redundancies in class 2 weapon specs

Remove redundancies, since Class 2 weapons must be 48 inches long (one half of 48 is 24, which is already greater than 18):

4.9.2.3. The maximum handle length for Class 2 weapons is eighteen (18) inches (45.72 cm) or one-third (1/3) of the overall length, whichever is greater. This cannot exceed one-half (½) of the overall length.

Fix leather thickness in Appendix

Incorrect the specifications in the appendix:

Appendix A.8.g Leather at least 3/16″ inch (4.76 mm) thick, no more than 2 layers

Proposed change, matching 4.12.5.1:

Appendix A.8.g Leather at least 5/32" (4.0 mm) thick
